I specialize in leading strategic communications programs to support commercialization of ambitious scientific ventures. I work with scientists, engineers, and executive teams to help them raise their public profiles internally and externally.

I have an entrepreneurial spirit and spent my career "learning by doing” and thrive in fast moving, highly intellectual environments where I work directly with c-suite professionals. I paces teams by maintaining a view of operations across medium and long-term time-horizons, to help operations move beyond continually short-term decision cycles.

As a lifelong Silicon Valley resident, having spent most of my life in the region, my speciality is developing plain language narratives to describe complex technologies. I am particularly skilled in positioning based on current events and market conditions, as well as painting a clear roadmap for press, employees, and investors to recruit people along for the journey.

I have built strategic narratives across the emerging technology landscape, from supercomputing (machine learning/AI), material science, renewable energy, semiconductor, data, security, and earth intelligence. Often working with the C-Suite to develop positioning, media strategies, and presentation assets to orient teams internally and externally to pursue ambitious opportunities. I am skilled in working across stakeholder teams to help establish common vision and consensus across disparate operations.

I helped launch TEDxSanFrancisco in 2016, which evolved to become TEDAI the first TED Conference focused on Artificial Intelligence. Over the past two decades, I’ve led go to market for five startups, oversaw strategic communication for over $100M in capital raised, and led executive communications for over 200 voices from leading organizations like OpenAI, NVIDIA, MIT Media Lab, NASA Ames, and Stanford University and beyond.

I founded Contramore in 2017 to build messaging architectures for high growth organizations and companies seeking to build better solutions for the health of humanity and planet earth.
